Since January 2015, at the behest of the Italian Federation, Michela Cerruti has become part of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission (WIMC), representing Italy. The FIA WIMC, founded on the 11th of December 2009 with the approval of the World Motorsport Council and the FIA president Jean Todt, includes 30 major motorsport personalities including Michèle Mouton, elected president, Susie Wolff, Katherine Legge and Monisha Kalteborn as Ambassadors. The Mission is to create a sports culture that would facilitate and enhance the presence of women in the world of Motorsport, through strategies and policies promoting education and training within the sport .
